Welcome to the Grafham Wildlife and Conservation Group’s Web Site
|
The Grafham Wildlife & Conservation Group was formed in 2000 to provide support to local privately owned woodlands. Through conservation and careful management the groups & volunteers work closely with the landowners, creating well-managed habitats for wildlife and flora, not only for today's owners but also for future generations.

Since its inception, the Group has been involved in the management of 19 separate woodlands, with a total area in excess of 300 acres.
Work parties are held on most Sundays, with significant assistance from the Community Payback Scheme.
We have recently forged a partnership with eForests (www.eforests.co.uk) who have provided trees for us to plant as part of a carbon offset scheme.

With the help and support from local volunteers, experienced conservationists and projects such as eForests and the Community Payback Scheme, the Grafham Wildlife and Conservation Group can continue to help manage local woodlands and wildlife habitats to the high standards for which it has become known.
